Hermès Vintage Stirrup Bag: 1950s Elegance, rare collector’s item.
Dating back to the 1950s–60s, this exceptionally rare Hermès handbag is a true collector’s gem. It is in remarkably preserved condition for its age.
Crafted in beige canvas (spotless) and smooth camel brown leather, it features a gold-tone stirrup-shaped clasp, a subtle nod to Hermès’ equestrian heritage.
Inside: a luxurious leather lining with three large compartments, one with a buttoned side pocket, and another with two smaller compartments — one housing a matching coin purse and mirror.
Timeless, refined, and nearly impossible to find: vintage Hermès at its finest.
Measurements:
26,5 cm x 18 cm x 5 cm
Condition:
Good condition: This item has been used but looked after. Visible signs of wear.
Considering its age, the bag is in a good condition. The beige canvas exterior shows no stains or signs of wear. The brown leather on the sides is slightly cracked, which is barely visible. The corners show some light signs of use.
The golden brass closure shows some signs of oxidation as shown in the pictured, but not on the outside of the stirrup part, so it is not visible while wearing the bag.
The handle is the only part of the bag that does show clear signs of wear. The leather of the handle has become thin and fragile. If worn, the bag should be handled with care because of this. We would advise that the handle is strengthened or replaced by a professional if deemed necessary.
The leather interior is in a very good condition. The leather is very luxurious and very supple.
