Hermès - vintage stirrup bag
This product is sold.
This gorgeous Hermès bag is nothing less than a true collector's item. The bag dates back to the 1950's-1960's and is in a superb quality giving its age.
This is a very rare and hard to find vintage masterpiece.
The exterior is made of beige canvas (no stains) and (camel) brown leather. The golden closure has the classic Hermès shape of a stirrup.
The bag opens up to a luxurious leather interior, with three large compartments. The first one has one other side compartment witch is closed with a button. The second large compartment has two smaller side compartments. One fits a separate smaller coin purse and a mirror.
26,5 cm x 18 cm x 5 cm
Good condition: This item has been used but looked after. Visible signs of wear.
Considering its age, the bag is in a good condition. The beige canvas exterior shows no stains or signs of wear. The brown leather on the sides is slightly cracked, which is barely visible. The corners show some light signs of use.
The golden brass closure shows some signs of oxidation as shown in the pictured, but not on the outside of the stirrup part, so it is not visible while wearing the bag.
The handle is the only part of the bag that does show clear signs of wear. The leather of the handle has become thin and fragile. If worn, the bag should be handled with care because of this. We would advise that the handle is strengthened or replaced by a professional if deemed necessary.
The leather interior is in a very good condition. The leather is very luxurious and very supple.
